וְאֶחָ֣יו בְּנֵי־חַ֗יִל אַלְפַּ֛יִם וּשְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת רָאשֵׁ֣י הָאָב֑וֹת וַיַּפְקִידֵ֞ם דָּוִ֣יד הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ עַל־הָראוּבֵנִ֤י וְהַגָּדִי֙ וַחֲצִי֙ שֵׁ֣בֶט הַֽמְנַשִּׁ֔י לְכָל־דְּבַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים וּדְבַ֥ר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ (פ)
Saudara-saudaranya, orang-orang yang gagah perkasa, berjumlah dua ribu tujuh ratus orang, kepala-kepala kaum keluarga. Raja Daud mengangkat mereka untuk mengawasi orang Ruben, orang Gad, dan setengah suku Manasye dalam segala perkara Allah dan perkara raja.
